understand our obligation and duty to participate in the upliftment of all South Africans.
To this end, we have identified
instances where we feel we can make a positive and meaningful contribution to the lives of the communities in which we
operate.
Our first project, Re-cycle for work, was conceived after witnessing the daily hardship endured by the Waste Pickers who render an often underappreciated service to fellow citizens, the removal and recycling of tonnes of plastic and litter that would otherwise defile our environment.
Our vision as we grow, is to provide these valuable, hardworking people with a bicycle and trailer to replace the improvised trolleys that have become a common sight on almost every South African street.
The concept is to not only make their gruelling task easier and more efficient but to also provide a means of earning a living as well as encourage entrepreneurial growth.
As entrepreneurs, the beneficiaries of
the Re-Cycle for work project could rent out the sides of the trailers as mobile billboards to potential advertisers.
Another possibility is to diversify into the delivery and collection of parcels, thus creating a local courier service. The possibilities are endless.
